Philosophy of Life & TherapY
Welcome, and thanks for your interest in who I am and the deeply special work that we may embark on together. Therapy with me is a safe space for you to navigate issues, examine relationship patterns, explore your identity, and learn new skills to help make sense of it all. My ultimate goal is to assist you in your journey towards a more satisfied self, no matter what your reason for coming to therapy.
My philosophy of therapy is a unique blend of person-centered focus, cognitive skill-building, and a systems perspective that helps me examine the bigger picture of your life. What does this mean? That the sessions are built around your needs, not mine. That I wish to help you make lasting changes both in and out of the office, which will help you for the rest of your life. And that we are all a part of something greater, and I want to help you find your best fit in this world, in your relationships, and find a sense of wonder, comfort, and appreciation in your most authentic self.
My philosophy of life is founded on a deep appreciation for my relationships with others, with nature, and with the power of introspection. I feel most alive when I'm connecting with people, alone the woods, or wandering somewhere in between in this crazy city! My office is here to share with you, and I am also open to meeting in your favorite outdoor space, or doing "walk and talk" therapy somewhere in the city.
I hope to hear from you soon!
